Broadway at the Hobby Center: Aladdin

This Disney-produced musical includes all the best numbers from the 1992 animated film’s Oscar-winning soundtrack, plus stage-only extras.

Citgo Freedom Over Texas

Headlined by country faves Jake Owen and Kellie Pickler, this year’s fireworks celebration teams up with Johnson Space Center to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. Expect astronaut meet-and-greets, carnival rides, and plenty of live music.

Alley Theatre: Murder on the Orient Express

Detective Hercule Poirot’s train runs adrift in the mountains as a mysterious murder consumes his fellow passengers. Follow along when this Agatha Christie classic returns as part of the Alley’s annual ExxonMobil Summer Chills series.

Queen + Adam Lambert

Stargazing with Houston Astronomical Society

Catch glimpses of the International Space Station, the moon, planets, and more with assistance from society volunteers and on-site telescopes; the July 20 date includes an Apollo 11 anniversary celebration featuring paratrooper landings, Lone Star Flight Museum exhibitions, and special moon pies from The Grove.

Sonic Playground: Yuri Suzuki

Explore Discovery Green’s latest interactive art exhibit, a six-piece sculpture that invites visitors to speak into colorful horns that transmit and transmute sound in surprising, engaging ways.
