Lyft Wants to Help You Get to the Nutcracker Market

You’d be happy, too, if you didn’t have to find your car after a day of Nutcracker Market madness.

It starts tomorrow, so here’s hoping you’ve readied your plan of attack. We’re talking, of course, about the Houston Ballet’s 38th Annual Nutcracker Market, the four-day holiday shopping extravaganza November 8-11 that brings 270 vendors and all sundry of giftable wares (antiques! Pies! Candles! Clothes!) to the 540,000 square-foot NRG Center.

The yearly spectacular draws more than 100,000 shoppers—more than the entire population of Sugar Land—making parking unthinkable. Enter Lyft. Today, the ride share announced a series of promo codes specifically for Nutcracker shoppers starting tomorrow, November 8: NUTCRACKER grants a $10 credit for a regular Lyft ride, and NUTCRACKERVIP is good for a $40 credit for Lyft Lux rides.

Moreover, Lyft drivers will pick up packages from the designated pick-up/valet area and are prepared to accommodate vehicle space for as many purchases as riders can make. And if when you find yourself needing a break from the frenzy but aren’t quite ready to call it a day, Lyft invites you to its lounge in the middle of the hubbub at Hall E in the NRG lobby. Godspeed.
