After a year of cancellations, struggles, and weather disasters, Houstonians are finally getting dressed up again.

Last week, more than 260 guests, dressed to the nines in black tie wear, gathered at The Post Oak Hotel to celebrate Cotton Holdings Inc.’s silver jubilee.

Founded by Pete Bell and Daryn Ebrecht in 1996, Cotton Holdings provides infrastructure and disaster support services—including during Covid-19 and winter storm Uri—across the globe.

Guests celebrated the company’s 25 years with a lavish sit-down dinner at the Post Oak. The room was covered in champagne-colored curtains, and tables were decked in mirrored black sequined tablecloths and lavish white floral centerpieces, which also hung from the ceiling, by Flora + Eventi.

After company CEO Bell gave a toast with a shot of Patron, the audience, which included many company execs, local bigwigs, and even a few celebrities, was treated to a private country music concert from “She Won’t Be Lonely Long” singer Clay Walker.

Then guests danced the night away to local ’80s cover band The Spazmatics and enjoyed late-night bites, such as pizza and fries, before leaving with a hand-painted bottle of Moët.
