Little Black Dress Designer (LBDD) kicked off the 2016 season with a party inspired by musical icon Prince on Wednesday, May 25 at The Dunlavy. Guests enjoyed libations and vegetarian bites by chef Brandi Key, music, dancing, a Prince impersonator, curated fashion presentation of little black dresses from the project’s past, and an announcement of the “nine muses” who will be part of the project.
The 2016 LBDD muses include: Diane Caplan, Gracie Cavnar, Dominique Sachse Florescu, Christine Goins, Rita Garcia, Lily Jang, Romy Mitchell, Joy Sewing and Molly Johnson Stone.
LBDD gives students and emerging designers the chance to win academic scholarships, brand funding and opportunities for real-life career networking.
Born and raised in Houston, Ricaé loves of all thing Texas. Her passion for marketing and events started at Sam Houston State University, where she earned a B.A. in Mass Communications. Arriving to Houstonia in 2016 with extensive experience producing, marketing and developing events, she knows how to throw a great party.
Ricaé enjoys meeting new people, traveling, yoga and exploring Houston in search of delicious food and craft beer.
