Houstonian and Country music queen RaeLynn rocked television screens five years ago on The Voice, when the 17-year-old singer wowed judge Blake Shelton, and millions of viewers, during the NBC show’s second season in 2012. While she didn’t win, the country darling hasn’t lost her momentum.

In 2015, the Baytown native released her first EP titled Me with Big Machine Label Group, which started in 2005 with then little-known-musician Taylor Swift, including the radio hit “God Made Girls.”

RaeLynn, whose full name is Racheal Lynn Woodward, debuted her newest album Wildhorse today, which includes popular song “Love Triangle,” with her new record label Warner Music. But instead of hosting a big release party in Nashville, she did it in her hometown…at a hospital.

Diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when she was 12, RaeLynn credits Texas Children’s Hospital with saving her life. To honor and continue their research and treatment of children with diabetes, the country singer made her first donation to The RaeLynn Diabetes Fund at Texas Children’s alongside Mayor Turner, who proclaimed March 24, 2017 to be “RaeLynn Day” in Houston.

“To be able to celebrate in my hometown and give back to the hospital that helped make all of my dreams come true makes it that much more special,” shares RaeLynn.

Purchase RaeLynn’s new album, Wildhorse, on iTunes ($7.99) and make a donation to the The RaeLynn Diabetes Fund.
