What: The Art of Wishing: Archway Gallery 40th Anniversary
When: Thursday, March 24, 2016
Description: Art lovers came together to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Archway Gallery, Texas’ oldest artist-owned gallery. Guests wined and dined on bites from Tony Mandola’s and enjoyed music by DJ Senega while meeting Nick Esquer, Houstonia’s arts and culture editor, and the gallery artists. Those in attendance were also invited to be among the first to create a heartfelt wish for the gallery’s life size wish tree art installation curated by Cecilia Villanueva. Two gallery supporters were chosen to take home an original piece of art donated by featured artist Kevin Cromwell and by FOTOFEST photographer Fikry Botros.
