If you thought the party was over once Super Bowl LI left town, you were wrong. This past Friday and Saturday, Sports Illustrated hosted its first-ever Vibes Swimsuit Festival at downtown’s Post HTX in celebration of its most recent swimsuit issue.
Some of Houston’s most notable chefs, including Chris Shepherd of Underbelly and Terrence Gallivan and Seth Siegel-Gardner of The Pass & Provisions, were joined in serving food for the two-day festival by Top Chef judge and Southern restaurateur Hugh Acheson, MasterChef judge and Chicago restaurateur Graham Elliot and Uchi chef Tyson Cole. But the food wasn’t the only draw, of course.
In addition to performances from Miguel and Diplo, the event was attended by a battery of SI swimsuit models past and present, including supermodel for the ages Christie Brinkley—who posed for the issue alongside daughters Alexa Ray Joel and Sailor Brinkley-Cook—and 2017 cover model Kate Upton.
