Birds of a feather will flock together toward Chick-fil-A this month, as a Houston franchise was selected by the Altanta-based fast food company to launch its first food truck in Texas.

Jesse Chaluh, who owns and operates two of the most successful Chick-fil-A’s in the country, including Chick-fil-A 59 & Kirby (No. 2 in US) and Chick-fil-A Meyerland Plaza (No. 8 in US), announced yesterday that the food truck will be ready to roll on Dec. 15.

Details are still being ironed out, as Chaluh told the Houston Chronicle, “We’re still looking into where food trucks can go in Houston. We worked with a food-truck manufacturer who understands our rigorous food safety and quality standards. In fact, we’re in the process of going through safety and health inspections now.”

The food truck will offer a limited menu, including the Original Chicken Sandwich,  Spicy Chicken Sandwich and waffle fries, as well as its signature sweet and unsweetened teas and lemonade.

But just like the brick-and-mortar locations, the truck will pump the brakes every Sunday and close. Talk about fowl play.
