Get This Calendar and Get Out

Tell me if this sounds familiar:

  1. You hear about some great event happening in Houston.
  2. You forget about the event.
  3. You stay home and watch Shark Tank.
  4. You hear about how great the event was after it’s over.

Argghhhhh! That’s the worst, right? With a city as large and vibrant as Houston, it’s almost impossible to keep track of every thing to do around town, even if you read Houstonia‘s On The Town newsletters and visit Artshound regularly.

As they say on Shark Tank, there has to be a better way. That’s why Mike Stefanik and Big Weekend Calendars created the Houston events calendar for 2015. Put your smartphones away, this is an old-fashioned wall calendar that combines beautiful photos of the city—skylines, Art Cars, Galveston, and more—with a comprehensive list of events throughout the year. The calendar has color-coded dates for over 250 events, holidays, activies, and other happenings, plus descriptions and websites where users can get more complete and up-to-date information.

There are no ads and no paid event placement, so a busy weekend in April includes such varied options as the U.S. Men’s Clay Court Tennis Championships at River Oaks Country Club, the Sugar Land Wine & Food Affair, the CounterCurrent art festival, Worldfest international film festival, the Houston Heights Home Tour, and the Art Car Parade. That’s a lot of awesome to keep track of.

The calendar is available at Central Market, Whole Foods Markets, Sprouts, Costco, Whole Earth Provisions, and on Amazon for $16.99.
