New Year’s Resolutions to Keep Fit in Houston without the Gym

Whether it’s kayaking, paddleboarding, or yoga, Houston has lots of opportunities to stay physically active while exploring the city.

As we say hello to 2024, an all-so-common urge to make lifestyle changes in this new year beckons. Hundreds of people will flock to their nearest gym for the traditional fitness resolutions, but that tends to take a lot of work to maintain.

A Forbes survey found that while improving fitness ranks highest among New Year’s resolutions, most people quit their goals in three months. To make sure yours stick, try aiming for activities that feel less like chores and incorporate elements of fun and relaxation.

Here are some ideas that are not only physical but will also have you discovering more of Houston.

Every Wednesday, participants are welcomed with open arms and provided with bikes, helmets, water, and fruit, eliminating any excuse not to join in.
