Get ready to bring your cheer downtown, Houston, because this brand-new holiday experience is about to welcome all Hous far and near.

Live Nation’s 40 Below is being transformed into a Bayou City-themed spin on Dr. Seuss’s iconic Christmas village of “Whoville” (you know, the one from the classic How the Grinch Stole Christmas!) that pays tribute to our city’s icons, sports teams, and landmarks. This life-size display will include Santa’s Houston Workshop, a Grinch room, and, most important, an Astros-themed Gingerbread House Bakery.

All through December, you can stroll down a candy cane lane while sipping hot chocolate and coffee from food truck The DoughCone, pose for photos throughout Hou-Ville City, and search for those perfect stocking stuffers in the Hou-Ville Gift Shop.

And for anyone who's more in touch with their inner Grinch than their Cindy Lou Who these days, don’t worry, you won’t have to clasp hands or even—Seuss forbid—socialize with your fellow Houvians. Strict health guidelines, including six feet of social distancing, face mask requirements, and wellness checks upon entry, will be enforced.

Dec 1–31. From $15. Live Nation’s 40 Below, 520 Texas Ave. More info and tickets at hou-ville.com.
