August’s Perfect Party: Cash-Us-Inside Edition

0817 icehouse perfect party august rvfsg0

At this month’s party, we certainly want to chat up Sheryl Swoopes, the former Houston Comet and three-time WNBA MVP who was inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame this summer, and commiserate with Yennifer Correia, a professional violinist who says a United employee attempted to wrestle her 17th-century violin out of her hands when she tried to bring it on a flight from Houston to Missouri. Also invited: controversial Top Chef winner Paul Qui (especially if he’s cooking), who recently put out feelers about potentially opening a location of his popular Austin ramen spot East Side Kings in Houston’s Chinatown. Additionally, we want to hang out with new Houstonian and DEAFinitely Dope founder Matt Maxey, who joined Chance the Rapper on his summer tour as an ASL interpreter for deaf and hard-of-hearing fans. And just for fun, let’s include Danielle Bregoli, also known as the every-mother’s-nightmare “cash me ousside” girl, who postponed her July event at Houston’s House of Blues either because she needs a larger venue or because no tickets were ever sold, depending on whom you ask, as well as former Miss USA Crystle Stewart, who has launched a finishing school for the 21st century called MISS Academy—yes, selfie etiquette is addressed—and who will probably have some much-needed pointers for Danielle.
