The Texas Renaissance Festival: Where Magic Becomes Memories

There’s a moment when you pass through the gates of the Texas Renaissance Festival and the outside world begins to disappear.

Suddenly, Kings and Queens hold court. The clash of steel rings through the air. Music drifts from stages and village lanes. Artisans practice centuries-old crafts, the aroma of festival favorites beckon, and around the next corner, you never quite know what – or who – you’ll encounter.

This fall, the Texas Renaissance Festival invites you to experience Magic and Memories during eight themed weekends, October 10 through November 29, plus Thanksgiving Friday.

Come in costume or come as you are. Bring the family, gather your friends, or assemble your favorite band of adventurers. However you choose to experience it, a day at the Festival is an opportunity to leave the ordinary behind and become part of a world unlike anywhere else.

More Than a Show – A World of Entertainment

With more than 200 performances each day across more than 20 stages, entertainment is everywhere.

Musicians, comedians, magicians and performers fill the stages of New Market Village, but the experience doesn’t stop when you leave your seat. Jugglers, minstrels, fortunetellers and roaming characters turn the village lanes themselves into a stage.

The Festival’s Performance Company brings New Market Village to life through interactive and improvisational theatre, creating moments that unfold right in front of you… and sometimes with you.

Plan your day around favorite performances or simply wander and see where the Festival takes you. Some of the best memories begin with something you never expected.

Nearly 400 Shoppes. Countless Discoveries.

Shopping at the Texas Renaissance Festival isn’t simply shopping – it’s part of the adventure.

Nearly 400 unique shoppes fill New Market Village with pottery, jewelry, metalwork, woodcarvings, and other handcrafted treasures. Thirty-four demonstrating artisans and craftspeople also give visitors the opportunity to see traditional skills in action, using techniques passed down through generations.

Feast Your Way Through the Festival

For some guests, the entertainment is the reason to come. For others, it’s the food.

Yes, there are turkey legs.

With more than 1,000 different food offerings, there is much more waiting to be discovered. Festival favorites such as steak on a stick and Scotch eggs share the village with Greek, Polish and other flavors, along with vegetarian and gluten-free selections.

For guests looking for dinner and a show, The King’s Feast combines dining and entertainment into one lively experience fit for royalty.

Make a Weekend of It

When one day in the realm simply isn’t enough, the adventure can continue in the Festival’s 230-acre Fields of New Market Campground.

Tent campers, RV travelers, families, friends, and groups can turn a Festival visit into an entire weekend getaway.

Begin Your Happily Ever After

Some Festival memories last even longer.

Couples looking for a wedding that is anything but ordinary can say “I do” within the charming setting of New Market Village. The Texas Renaissance Festival offers wedding packages ranging from simple celebrations to grand royal affairs.

From a carriage ride to the reception and everything in between, it’s an opportunity to begin your own happily ever after inside a world made for fairy tales.

Make Some Magic of Your Own

For more than 50 years, generations of guests have made the journey to the Texas Renaissance Festival. Some return for traditions they’ve loved for decades. Others walk through the gates for the very first time.

Every visit is different.

Maybe your memory will be discovering an artist whose work you take home. Maybe it will be watching your child meet the Queen. Maybe it’s the show you stumbled upon, the ridiculous thing your friend convinced you to wear, the meal everyone is still talking about, or simply spending a fall day together somewhere that feels a world away from everyday life.

That’s the real magic of the Texas Renaissance Festival.

The Texas Renaissance Festival is open weekends October 10 through November 29, 2026, plus Thanksgiving Friday. Kids 12 and under are admitted free every Sunday!
