At the Russian Cultural Center, Russian-American jewelry designer Vika Filipov, who works under the name Vika Live, is presenting a one-of-a-kind jewelry collection inspired by Tolstoy’s novel War and Peace.

The handmade bracelets, necklaces, and rings are designed to call to mind the romantic aesthetic of tsarist Russia and the innocence of the novel’s protagonist, Natasha Rostova, with accents of crystals, pearls, and natural gemstones.

The collection was designed to complement the concurrent exhibition of War and Peace illustrations by Igor Karash, and the jewelry will be on display and available for sale through January 31. Combined, the exhibits aim to give jewelry lovers and Russian literature enthusiasts alike a deeper perspective on the Russian classic.
