Another day, another multi-million dollar estate in River Oaks. This time, it’s The Branford, a $6.3 million French modern masterpiece at 3233 Avalon Place. The 8,900-square-foot home is a new construction by Al Ross Luxury Homes, complete with five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, an in-ground pool, and a three-car garage suite.

The property is listed with Nan and Company Properties, the Houston affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate, which hosted a party to showcase the space last week. Guests got an up-close look at the home’s best features, like white oak flooring, luxury appliances,  and an expansive open floor plan. The Branford also boasts a custom mosaic flooring in the master bathroom, a unique skylight, a climate-controlled wine room, third-floor theater and workout rooms, a built-in espresso system in the kitchen, and another outdoor kitchen. For the party, Roche Bobois furnished the space and Yvonamor Palix Fine Arts supplemented eye-catching artwork throughout the home.

Guests enjoyed live music and a raffle for a signed James Harden basketball and Balani Custom Clothiers gift card to benefit Houston Pets Alive, and dined on pineapple martinis, crab shooters, and mini quiche while learning about upcoming listings, including a $10 million Memorial home.

Abby Ledoux
Abby Ledoux traded Canada’s border for Mexico’s when she moved to Texas from northwestern Vermont in November 2017 to join the staff at Houstonia. An alumna of Emerson College’s journalism program in Boston, Abby was previously associate editor of three weekly newspapers in her home state of Vermont. There, she covered everything from Bernie Sanders to the heroin epidemic and won numerous state and regional awards for her work, including the Vermont Press Association’s 2014 Rookie of the Year. She was also an investigative reporting fellow at the New England First Amendment Coalition. Today, Abby is excited to explore Houston’s vibrant, diverse culture (and shopping scene). Aside from fashion and design, she’s passionate about politics, hip hop and Mexican food. She believes leopard is a neutral and red lipstick can fix almost anything.
