We all have those mornings that go a little bit sideways, just like we all have a quick hair shortcut to save the day—usually dry shampoo, a top knot, or some combination of both. But for a freakishly stylish alternative, please allow us to advocate for the return of the turban (and its little sister, the head wrap). Like the caftan before it, the turban is designed to make you look and feel like a relaxed boho diva straight out of the 1970s—think Bianca Jagger, or maybe Barbra Streisand. All you need is confidence to pull this look off, although major earrings, oversized sunglasses and big, spidery lashes certainly won’t hurt. It’s the perfect accessory to get your hair through these trying times of great humidity while still turning it out from head to toe.
