This Houston Poinsettia Sale Benefits Families In Need

Keep the cat away.

Nothing gets us in the holiday spirit quite like some good old-fashioned paying it forward, y’all. A brilliant way to feel jolly this year? Cornelius Nursery’s 15th annual Poinsettia Presale, which has raised $250,000 for the Texas nonprofit Lena Pope since the sale’s launch in 2004. Last year alone, $33,500 was raised for the nonprofit, which provides counseling and educational services for nearly 20,000 people in need, with a mission to create hope, happiness and success for children and families in Texas.

From now until November 23, local businesses, organizations and individuals can pre-order the six-inch red poinsettias for $9.99 and 10 percent will go towards Lena Pope’s mission. Order 30 or more and get free red wraps and delivery between December 3-14. Order 50 or more and get $50 off the entire purchase.

To preorder poinsettias, call Cornelius Nursery, or look for the poinsettias in store beginning the week of Thanksgiving.
