These Houston Restaurants Are Open After Hurricane Beryl

Houstonians are now on day 5 without full power after Hurricane Beryl whipped through the region in the early hours of Monday morning. Electricity in some homes and businesses is being (extremely) slowly restored to CenterPoint customers still experiencing outages.
But where to eat? The following Houston restaurants, bars, cafes, coffee shops, and more are now open. Continue to check back in as this list gets updated throughout the day.

- Heights restaurant Squable still doesn't have power, so it's partnering with venue Tongue-Cut Sparrow (1424 Westheimer Road, behind Anvil) for a cocktail pop-up that will benefit Squable's staff. Walk-ins only Friday from 6pm to midnight.
- Bun B's Trill Burgers is handing out 713 smashburgers and 713 bottles of water on Saturday for 713 Day at the Galleria's Red Garage, 10am to 1pm.
- While Ostia in Montrose still doesn't have power, the team is hosting a pop-up on Friday from 1 to 7pm in the parking lot. A portable Gozney oven is allowing the staff to serve chicken and salsa verde, margherita and goat cheese and sausage pizzas, snapper ceviche, and tomato salads. The pop-up will also offer beer, wine, Aperol spritzes, and Ostiarita margaritas. Diners can sit on the patio and in the greenhouse.
- Saint Arnold Brewing, whose restaurant and beer garden are still without power, is giving away free food to-go starting at 1pm on Friday. Goode Co. BBQ loaned the brewery staff a smoker and supplied them with wood to make this happen. Beers will also be available for purchase to-go (cash only).
- Molihua in the Texas Medical Center has reopened.
Restaurants that opened on Thursday, July 11
The following restaurants reopened on Thursday. For a full list of spots that reopened earlier in the week, keep scrolling down.
- Rainbow Lodge finally got power back and is opening its bar at 4pm for cocktails and snacks.
- Little Rey continued its promotion on Thursday: two free breakfast tacos to all first responders from 8 to 11am.
- Traveler's Table, for dinner service.
- Mo' Better Brews reopened Thursday with normal business hours but a limited menu.
- Central City Co-op got its power back on Thursday and will open noon to 7pm.
Restaurants that opened on Wednesday, July 10
The following restaurants reopened on Wednesday. For a full list of spots that reopened earlier in the week, keep scrolling down.
- Killen's Barbecue in Pearland is giving away free barbecue sandwiches and a bag of chips from 2pm until they're out.
- Comfort Foodies in the Willowbrook area is offering free hot meals on Wednesday starting at 12:30pm, including empanadas, chicken, smothered pork chops, and fried fish.
- Little Rey is handing out two free breakfast tacos to all first responders on Wednesday from 8 to 11am.
- Aiko, which reopened Tuesday, is offering 25 percent off people's tabs today.
- Nobie's reopens at 5pm today.
- Nonno's is open and serving its Wednesday pasta special: fettuccine with chicken and basil-serrano pesto.
- Burger-chan opened for lunch.
- The Cypress location of Union Kitchen opens today at 4 pm; the Katy and Kingwood locations opened Tuesday and are open again today from 11am to 9pm.
- Money Cat will be open for lunch and dinner.
- Pizzitola's Barbecue will reopen at 11am on Wednesday.
- Il Bracco is reopening at 11am with regular hours. The restaurant is offering 50 percent off to first responders in uniform.
- Hamsa is reopening at 11:30am.
- Badolina Bakery opened at 7am.
- Doris Metropolitan is open.
- The Garden Oaks location of Sonoma Wine Bar will open Wednesday at 2pm.
- Balboa Surf Club is opening with regular hours at 11am. The restaurant is offering 50 percent off to first responders in uniform.
- The Rice Village location of Hungry's is open.
- The Rice University location of Dandelion Cafe is now open.
- The nonalcoholic bottle shop Sipple in Rice Village is open.
- Lees Den is opening at 4pm.
- ChòpnBlọk at Post Houston is back open on Wednesday.
- Boondocks is reopening at 5pm.
- Auden at Autry Park opens at 5pm.
- All locations of Christian's Tailgate are open.
- The Memorial, Levy Park, and Garden Oaks locations of Slowpokes are now open (updated from Tuesday—West U and Spring Branch still closed).
- Granger's is open.
- Monkey's Tail is open.
- Jethro's Cocktail Lounge is open.
- Rocambolesc is open.
- All Burger Joint and Taco Stand locations opened on Wednesday morning.
- Restaurants at the Stomping Grounds in Garden Oaks opened Wednesday at 11am, including LuLoo's Day & Night, Himari, Oh My Gogi, Pho Fix, La Mex, Bollo, Sonoma Wine Bar, Fat Cat Creamery, and Becca Cakes.
- Hongdae 33 Korean BBQ has reopened.
- A slew of Landry's restaurants have reopened, including Babin's Seafood House (Katy), Brenner’s Steakhouse (Katy), Downtown Aquarium, Grotto, La Griglia, Mastro’s Steakhouse, Morton’s The Steakhouse, Del Frisco’s Steakhouse, Vic & Anthony’s, several locations of Saltgrass Steak House, the Palm, Willie G's Seafood, Morton's Grille (The Woodlands), Del Frisco's Grille (The Woodlands), Mastro's Ocean Club (The Woodlands), Landry's Seafood House (The Woodlands), Brick House Tavern & Tap (Humble and Sugar Land).
Restaurants that opened on Tuesday, July 9
- Street to Kitchen, the award-winning Thai restaurant in the East End, is distributing meals to-go today until 8pm on a pay-what-you-can basis. The restaurant is also serving a limited drinks menu at the bar, but there's no AC. It was chef Benchawan Jabthong Painter's birthday yesterday, so make sure to wish her a happy birthday while you're there.
- Axelrad Beer Garden opened at 10am Tuesday and has WiFi, charging stations, and cold drinks.
- The Greenway location of Coco Crepes on Richmond is open.
- Both locations of Handies Douzo (Montrose and Heights) are open regular hours on Tuesday. "The hand rolls are ready for you," the restaurant wrote on Instagram.
- Both Craft Pita locations (Briargrove and West U) are open regular hours.
- The Timbergove location of Tacos Doña Lena is open until 9pm Tuesday; the Spring Branch restaurant is still closed.
- 93’ Til is open.
- Maven Coffee is open with a limited food menu but plenty of coffee drinks.
- Cranky Carrot Juice at Finn Hall is open Tuesday and offering free juice and water for people without power.
- Rabbit's Got the Gun will open from 4pm to 2am, and you can bring a cooler and ask them for ice if you need it.
- Poison Girl was open on Monday and is expected to open again today at 3pm.
- Rudyard's will open at 11am and the kitchen at 12:30pm.
- Weights & Measures is open with plenty of food but a "skeleton crew"—please be patient.
- Flying Saucer is open with food, beer, AC, and WiFi, and the bar is doing trivia at 7:30pm on Tuesday evening.
- Maximo is open 11am to 9pm.
- Hugo Ortega's restaurants Backstreet Cafe, Caracol, Urbe, and Xochi are open. Hugo's opens at 2pm.
- Etoile Cuisine et Bar is open for lunch and dinner.
- The Sylvia’s Enchilada Kitchen location on Eldridge is open.
- Kirby Ice House locations are reopening at 2pm.
- The Annie is open and still running its food and drink happy hour from 4 to 7pm today.
- Home Run Dugout is open and batting bays are 51 percent off today.
- Kin Dee opens at 11am on Tuesday.
- MaKiin opens at 5pm with a full menu.
- The Katy location of Mandito's Tex-Mex is open.
- The Washington Avenue location of Tacodeli is open, and offering free bean and cheese and Frontera Fundito chicken tacos (limit two per guest), plus a fountain drink, all day while supplies last.
- Both locations of the Pit Room (Montrose and Memorial) are open.
- The Uptown location of Ninfa's is open regular hours, but Navigation in the East End remains closed on Tuesday.
- Aiko is open regular hours. "We have power and cold sushi!"
- The Savoy will be open from noon to 2am on Tuesday. Anyone can drop by to cool off and charge their devices—no purchase necessary.
- Taste Kitchen & Bar opened at 8am and will remain open "well into the night," according to a spokesperson.
- The Locker Room Sports Bar & Grill will be open from 4pm to midnight with a full menu, plus happy hour from 5 to 8pm.
- The Pearland (noon), Kirkwood (11am), and Veterans Memorial Drive (11am) locations of Lotus Seafood are open Tuesday until 9pm.
- Prospect Park will be open from noon to 1am.
- Bungalow Downtown Dining will be open from 11am to 11pm.
- Stick Talk Cajun Hibachi on Elgin its food truck on Richmond will both be open from 11am to midnight.
- FRNDS will be open from 4 to 11pm.
- Kamp Houston will be open from noon to midnight.
- Lost & Found will be open from noon to midnight.
- The Memorial location of Slowpokes is open on Tuesday; the West U, Levy Park, Spring Branch, and Garden Oaks coffee shops are all still closed.
- All locations of Kolache Shoppe (Heights, Greenway, and Pearland) are now reopen.
- Daily Gather opened at 11am.
- The Heights location of Dish Society opened at 7am; West U, Memorial, and Katy restaurants are closed Tuesday.
- The Duck N Bao locations in Rice Village and Cypress opened at 11am; Memorial is closed.
- All locations of Molina's Cantina opened at 11am.
- The Katy location of Phat Eatery opened at 11am; The Woodlands is closed.
- Baileson Brewing in Rice Village is opening from 3 to 8pm on Tuesday with food service from Maria's Kitchen starting at 4pm. The brewery will have tacos, water, root beer, and 10 beers on tap.
- Cafe Piquet is open regular hours but with a limited menu.
- Rays BBQ Shack is open with a limited menu.
- Kau Ba is open with tons of happy hour deals available from 4 to 7pm.
- Angel Share will open at 4pm.
- Cactus Cove opened at 11am.
- The Spot in League City opened at 11am with a limited staff.
- Bari Ristorante is open from 11am to 11pm.

- Equal Parts Brewing opened its taproom early, at noon, on Tuesday to welcome neighbors who need power, AC, beer, ice, and even pinball.
- Post Houston will be open this evening and showing tonight's Copa América game, Argentina vs. Canada.
- Roma opens at 5pm.
- The Richmond location of Mary'z Mediterranean is open.
- The Heights location of Wild is open; Montrose is closed.
- The CityCentre, River Oaks, Woodway, and Midtown locations of Cyclone Anaya's are open.
- Pitch 25 opened at 2pm.
- The Cypress, College Station, CityCentre, Richmond, and Springwoods locations of Star Cinema Grill are open.
- Both locations of Liberty Kitchen & Oysterette (River Oaks and Memorial City) are open.
- State Fare Kitchen & Bar in Memorial is open with a limited menu, and Sugar Land with full menu.
- XiaoLongKan Hot Pot is open from noon to 9:30pm on Tuesday. The restaurant has internet, electricity, AC, and last but not least, it's offering unlimited ice cream bars and 50 percent off every bill all day to "give back to Houston," according to a spokesperson.
- The restaurants at the Four Seasons Hotel—Bayou & Bottle, Bayou & Bean, and Toro Toro—are all open on Tuesday.
- Both locations of Pizaro's (Montrose and Memorial) are open.
- Andes Cafe will open at 4pm.
- The Cypress and Richmond Avenue locations of Alicia’s Mexican Grille are open.
- The Bagel Shop in Bellaire is open.
- Both locations of Betelgeuse Betelgeuse (on Montrose Boulevard and Washington Avenue) are open.
- The Cypress and Fulshear locations of Local Table are open.
- The Cypress location of the Local Bar is open.
