We’ll be honest: Sometimes it’s hard to keep all of the apartment complexes in Houston straight. But that’s not to say that they’re all created equal.Â
Earlier this month, the Houston Apartment Association helped us out by naming 14 communities the best multi-family properties of the year at its annual (and virtual) HAA Honors Awards. Judging was based on four criteria: resident service, physical appearance, community service, and operating performance.Â
From luxury in River Oaks to perfectly practical in Rosenberg, this year’s winners run the gamut in terms of style, size, and neighborhood. Still, we can’t help but notice that just about every winner offers sanity-saving amenities, like pet-friendly spaces (even spas!) and easy access to parks—two things that feel essential as Houstonians have spent the better part of the past nine months at home.Â
