Located in Missouri City, Sienna is home to over 20,000 residents and features many amenities including a 190-acre golf club, over 20 developed parks, and three resort-style water parks.
With numerous churches, gyms, shopping options, restaurants, schools, medical practices, banks, and salons, virtually everything residents need is available within Sienna’s 10,000 acres.
The land that makes up Sienna once functioned as a sugar and cotton plantation, then a religious retreat before Johnson Development bought it in 1995. Founder Larry Johnson envisioned Sienna as a more extravagant version of Silverlake, another one of the company’s planned communities.
“Sienna is a first-class community,” said David Jarvis, Senior Vice President, Consulting, with John Burns Real Estate Consulting. “I was involved with it from the very first neighborhood and have watched Johnson Development take Larry’s vision to develop one of the greatest master-planned communities in the state.”
In 2021, Robert Charles Lesser & Co. rated Sienna as one of the top 25 master-planned communities in the nation.
In its 25th year of home sales, Sienna is continuing to expand with pending construction of Fort Bend ISD’s Elementary #54, which is set to open in fall 2023. There are also plans for three new parks.
The community is known for its community HOA-hosted events, most notably the annual Sienna Toddler Fair and the Sienna Arts Festival.
While the official anniversary of the community isn’t until October, a commemorative 25th birthday campaign is running all year. There are plans for a special promotion to celebrate the grand opening in October.
