After seven years at 4302 Westheimer in Highland Village, contemporary furnishings store BoConcept has closed its only Houston location.
Swamplot reports that the lot that holds BoConcept's freestanding, 9,500-square-foot building at the northwest corner of Westheimer and Mid Lane is in the process of being sold. Reps for BoConcept confirm that the store has permanently closed its doors as of today, and there are currently no plans for a new location.
The Danish brand still operates 25 stores in the United States (and many more globally), but the closure leaves a store in Dallas's Knox-Henderson neighborhood as the only location in Texas.
UPDATE 10/20:
A rep for BoConcept confirms the company is now looking for a new space in Houston. She writes:
"BoConcept is actually looking to open a brand new store in Houston -sooner rather than later! We still don't know anything about when and where, but just thought I'd let you know that Houston is on the radar. Until then BoConcept Dallas will take care of current and future customers in Houston and Texas."
