White Linen Night Turns 10! Plus: 5 Breezy Dresses to Wear

It's not labor day yet, y'all. Celebrating a decade of beating the August heat with white linen and cold drinks, Houstonians from all neighborhoods flock to 19th Street in the Heights to shop and mingle.
Storefronts open their doors at 10 a.m with discounts, snacks and refreshments for attendees, an opportune time for younger families. The street officially blocks off traffic at 3 p.m. prior to the 6 p.m. kickoff. Bring your appetite, as food and beer trucks will be ready to feed and water the large crowds. And don't miss live performances throughout the (free!) evening, that comes to a close at 10 p.m.
But why white linen, you ask? The iconic Southern garb is breathable, while the light color absorbs less heat than darker hues. We're loving these 5 neutral frocks that are perfect for Saturday and the weeks leading up to September 5. (Psst—if Houston stores don't have your size, all these darling dresses have overnight shipping!)
