The Heights is well on its way to becoming an emerging fashion hub in the city of Houston. The family and millennial friendly area will soon be home to multiple fashion brands that want to expand their reach to fashion lovers in the Bayou City.
Earlier this month, TAFT, a men's footwear brand, arrived in Houston’s M-K-T Heights. The label is known for its stylish European-inspired men's footwear, and its intricate designs, which are meticulously hand-cut, and painted by experienced artisans in Portugal and Spain.
Founded by Kory and Mallory Stevens, TAFT emerged as a men’s no-show-sock brand and quickly transitioned to a footwear business following a viral post on Reddit. Now, the brand carries an array of styles, from casual to formal. The business casual label produces a wide selection of boots such as leather , wingtips, cap-toe combat boots, and hiking, as well as loafers, sneakers, T-shirts, and accessories.
"When we dreamed up TAFT in our living room, we had big ambitions, and having our own store was absolutely one of them. Seeing our products displayed on shelves and in the hands of our customers is literally a dream come true. We’re super excited to open our second location in Texas and third store in the TAFT retail portfolio," said founder Kory Stevens in a statement.
The new location in Houston's M-K-T Heights follows shortly after the brand built storefront locations in other metropolitan cities like Dallas and Soho in New York.
"We’ve witnessed the growth of a high concentration of customers in cities like Houston, and are now able to provide them with an in-real-life and omnichannel experience," Stevens continues.
The location hosted its grand opening on July 23 and is now open for business.
TAFT is located in Houston's M-K-T Heights, 600 N Shepherd Dr, Suite 128. For more information, visit, taftclothing.com
