Socialite-Turned-Author Plum Sykes Parties in Houston
There's something so wonderfully British about a socialite so upper-crust she goes by the name of Plum. But Plum Sykes is no mere party girl—she's been a contributing editor at Vogue, a muse for Alexander McQueen and a successful novelist, with her debut novel Bergdorf Blondes selling a quarter of a million copies.
To celebrate her latest novel, Party Girls Die in Pearls, Sykes was fêted by her Houston-raised friends Allison and Courtney Sarofim at Burberry in the Galleria, with a guest list that included some of Houston's own stylish party girls (none in pearls, fortunately), among them Lynn Wyatt, Neal Hamil, Elizabeth Araham, Lindley Arnoldy, Ting Bresnahan, Carrie Brandsberg-Dahl, Isabel David, Jennie Segal and Elyse Lanier.
In addition to the novel's debut, guests also shopped Burberry’s new DK88 bag collection, introduced at London Fashion Week earlier this year.
