As Houston continues to drive an ample amount of brands and designers to the city, the latest addition is House Of Krigler. The fragrance line nestles its ninth luxury boutique in the heart of downtown at the five-star Four Seasons hotel.

In a statement, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Houston Tom Segesta, shares his excitement for the latest partnership.

“I am excited to announce the opening of Krigler in the lobby of Four Seasons Hotel Houston, Houston’s downtown destination. This unique partnership with the Krigler team allowed us to welcome the very first Krigler perfume store to Texas,” said Segesta. “We are looking forward to bringing this memorable and unique shopping experience to our guests and to all of Houston.”

The Houston location is marked as Texas’ first boutique location, joining New York City, Beverly Hills, San Francisco, Palm Beach, and Chicago.

Inside the 800-square-foot boutique, the perfumery will embody Krigler’s classic black and gold aesthetic with a Texas twist. Accentuated by decor crafted by local artisans, the store will also include original Texan oak flooring. Shoppers will have a full range of luxury scented candles, noble soaps and will feature Krigler’s top-rated scents. Among the perfumes will include Hermitage Heritage 04, a strikingly masculine scent offering a citrusy crispness of vetiver and lemon, the enchanting Schöne Linden 05 with floral notes of gardenia, and the signature Pleasure Gardenia 79, a sensual mix of jasmine, vanilla, and mimosa.

The House Of Krigler dates back to 1879 when Berlin-born chemist Albert Krigler created his first scent Pleaser Gardenia 79 for his fiancée. Since then, Krigler has opened perfumeries across the globe, from St. Petersburg, Russia in 1904, to the South Of France in 1909. Additionally, the fragrance line has gained an archival of clients such as Audrey Hepburn, John and Jackie Kennedy, and the Royal Family and is now operated by Krigler’s great-great-grandson Ben Krigler.

According to Krigler, opening a store in Houston feels like "visiting family" as Houston has been a loyal client base of the perfumery since the 1950s, and bespoke fragrances have been created especially for Houstonians.

An exclusive atelier perfumery service will also be available which allows guests to create their own fragrance or candle, a process that typically takes between nine to 12 months.

“As a child, I dreamed of seeing the Rothko Chapel, which I’d learned about at an exhibition in Paris,” recalls Mr. Krigler in a statement. “So, on my first visit to Houston, I headed straight there and discovered some of the best collections of American decorative art and furniture. What an inspiration! Houston is truly one of the U.S.’s top cultural destinations.”

House Of Krigler is available to shop online or instore at the Four Seasons Hotel located at 1300 Lamar St. For more information, visit their website.
