Big Little Lies star Reese Witherspoon is bringing her fashion and lifestyle brand, Draper James, to Houston. Set to debut at The Galleria, the southern-inspired label combines trendy American style with country living.

Named after Witherspoon’s grandparents Dorothea Draper and William James Witherspoon, the brand is heavily influenced by their distinct southern charm, specifically her grandmother's.

“My grandmother Dorothea only drove white Cadillacs — always while wearing proper driving gloves,” Witherspoon said in a statement. ”She didn't have a lot of dresses, but she had an incredible sense of style and knew how to make the most of any outfit by wearing the perfect accessories. Her shoes always matched her purse and she never removed her pearls or her wedding ring. When I returned to Nashville with my own family, I wanted to recapture and celebrate all that I love and remember about my grandparents and the South. That is why I created Draper James.”

Since its launch in 2014, the brand has been popularized by fellow cities of the south including Nashville, Atlanta and Lexington, with Houston becoming its fourth opening.

In true American fashion, shoppers will be able to browse through classic floral tees, denim jeans and trendy accessories as well as homeware from tabletops and aprons to mugs and sheets. The southern-inspired suite will also feature artwork and architecture from Nashville interior designers Chelsea Petaja and Kayce Hughes.

Set to open November 11, Draper James will be located between Janie & Jack and Peloton on level one of The Galleria. Houston’s prominent shopping mall has been making headlines lately with new retail additions, including multi-hyphenate Rihanna’s lingerie line Savage X Fenty which will open its doors January of next year.
