Following the Savage X Fenty Show Vol. 3 released on Amazon Friday, Rihanna is taking her lingerie brand from online to in-store. Savage X Fenty is reportedly coming to The Houston Galleria, along with a chain of brick-and-mortar stores nationwide following a series of pop-up shops in 2018. The forthcoming Houston location would mark one of the first stores in the state of Texas.
Evidence of public registration was made on August 24 under project name Savage X Fenty: Houston Galleria, specifying that renovations on the new 7295 suite will start this month. Suites beginning with seven are dedicated to the second level of the mall, which is where the new Savage x Fenty store will allegedly reside.
Known for its body and gender inclusivity foundation, the now billion dollar company, is the second family to join the the Fenty conglomerate; along with Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin. While the brand continues to pull in a massive revenue, many consumers still aren’t too keen on purchasing online. In a recent interview for Bloomberg’s Black in Focus Twitter series, Christiane Pendarvis, co-president, chief marketing and design officer for Fenty x Savage, confirmed the new set of chains for 2022 will aid a better shopping experience.
“Retail is an important part of our growth strategy. You’ll absolutely see some stores in 2022,” Pendarvis details. “Because fit and comfort are so important, there are just customers who don’t feel comfortable purchasing online.”
Currently, there's a new construction sign in-front of suite 7295, which was formerly E-Tao Asian Eatery located in between Champs and Ninfa’s Mexican Cantina. The public registration document details the store is to be completed January 22.
