Elisabeth Carroll Parks is a music columnist and features contributor for Houstonia Magazine. Her byline has also appeared in outlets including Texas Monthly, Houston Chronicle, and The Bluegrass Situation. Over the last decade, she has penned official bios for artists including Taj Mahal, the Earls of Leicester, Sam Bush, Chris Hillman, Molly Tuttle, Deer Tick, John Moreland, Lori McKenna, Hootie and the Blowfish, Hayes Carll, and The War and Treaty, amongst others. Prior to jumping into a full-time freelancing career, Elisabeth served as managing editor of MusicWorld, Broadcast Music, Inc.’s magazine. She lives in Houston’s East End with her husband and two sons.
