Houston, we have Taylor Swift. The Grammy Award-winning singer shared she'll headline the DirecTV Super Saturday Night kickoff concert on February 4 in the Bayou City.
Her pre-Super Bowl performance was announced today in conjunction with her multi-year contract with AT&T, who acquired DirecTV in 2015. Swift tweeted to her 81.1 million followers, "Thanks @ATT, this is gonna be fun."
With AT&T, the feeling is mutual. "We're thrilled to reach a deal to bring Taylor and her unique talents to her fans and our customers in new and exclusive ways. We're excited to get event tickets into the hands of Taylor's fans and exclusive content from the event to our customers and celebrate the combination of one of the world's biggest artists with one of the world's biggest sporting events," AT&T CEO John Stankey said in a statement released today.
Lady Gaga will headline the official Super Bowl 51 halftime show on February 5. Forget football: Who's ready for some music?
