Bar Type(s)

Hearsay is located at the northeast corner of Market Square in the W. L. Foley Building, which was built in 1889. The stylishly restored brick interior takes advantage of the incredibly high ceilings with a second-level bar and pocket dining room up a long flight of stairs. Crystal stemware and an extensive wine list lure inside well-heeled business folk and date-night couples to splurge on wine by the bottle. While the restaurant offers ceviche, stuffed mushrooms, and other popular snack plates as well as Kobe hot dogs, an Angus hamburger, and several other sandwiches, Hearsay is justly famous for big, honking steaks, juicy pork chops, and lots of Gulf seafood and salmon dishes.
