One of the oldest soul food restaurants in Houston, This is It, has been serving southern cuisine since 1959. The location might have moved a few times, but the food has been consistent and a constant Houston favorite. In a no-frills atmosphere (as it should be), the chitterlings, mac-and-cheese, okra and oxtails barely leave room for the must-have banana pudding.
