Holly Beretto has been a regular contributor to Houstonia since 2014, covering the arts, books, education, retail, and food. She is the author of Christ as the Cornerstone: 50 Years of Worship at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. You might see her bylines in other publications, including 365ThingsinHouston.com, CultureMap, Houston Chronicle, Los Angeles Times, and the Texas Catholic Herald. Her work has also been featured in ASU Magazine and Santa Clara Magazine. 

Holly has a master's in communication with an emphasis in journalism from St. Louis University and a bachelor's in mass communication and a minor in professional writing from Franklin Pierce University, where she served as Pierce Magazine’s editor-in-chief. Her career spans nearly every facet of communications and marketing, including television news production, event planning, media and public relations, non-profit marketing and communication strategy, and corporate storytelling. She also has an expertise in wine (Holly worked as a wine steward for 10 years at Central Market, and is always available to help with the perfect pairing).

An avid bookworm, Holly enjoys British murder-mystery TV series, tiki drinks, spending time with loved ones, and cruising the world with her husband, the love of her life.
