Producer
Katharine Shilcutt

Katharine is a native Houstonian and seventh-generation Texan who really likes visiting other cities, states and countries but could never imagine living anywhere else than here. She’s been nominated for a James Beard Award and three Association of Food Journalists Awards, taking home the latter twice.
Katharine, a Baylor alum and the former food critic for the Houston Press, came on board at Houstonia in May 2013, serving as features editor and dining editor before taking the reins as managing editor.
For Katharine, the best part of her job is having a turntable in her office and a view of the Houstonia House rooftop tomato garden (and, of course, helping to put out a magazine that showcases the best of her beloved hometown). She regularly represents Houstonia on local TV and radio programs.
