Relax; the new Aura Brasserie isn’t the formal French restaurant chef Frédéric Perrier once ran in nearby Missouri City. His revamped place is as cute and casual as they come, with a pass-through onto Sugar Land’s bustling Town Square development that turns the space into an open-air restaurant on nice days. Perrier offers standard lunch and dinner menus along with a Sunday brunch that packs the place and a three-course weekday business lunch featuring dishes such as beef brochette with mashed potatoes or a cheese and charcuterie plate for $15. Favorites on the regular menu include Perrier’s outstanding house-made pâté, oxtail-stuffed ravioli, and a tour of tartares (beef, salmon, and tuna, each with its own condiments).
