Erawan has been a favorite Thai spot since long before it moved to its swanky Galleria digs, back when it was a hole in the wall on a far western stretch of Richmond. The calm, chic interior at the Galleria location is a far better match for the thoughtful, well-made Thai food the restaurant serves. Try the pla nueng manow, red snapper steamed with garlic, Kafir lime, and lemongrass in a spicy sauce, or the amazing homemade peanut curry. For dessert, don’t miss the “sundae” with layers of sticky rice, coconut ice cream, and fried bananas.
