Description

This spot is often fondly referred to as “Houston’s micro-Italy.” That’s because you’ll find nearly the entirety of Houston’s Italian expat population hanging out at the popular Rice Village coffee shop on any given day, sipping cappuccinos and espressos made the old-school way, with a Faema Emblema machine brought in from Italy. Owners Salvatore Albelice and Paolo Fronza hail from Italy themselves, as does Giuseppe Montoro, the man who makes Fellini’s pastries and sandwiches. In the words of Eddie Izzard, “Ciao!”
