This Third Ward haunt is exclusively vegan, although non-vegans won’t miss a thing in the creative dishes made by husband-and-wife team Matti Merrell and Rodney Perry. Green Seed Vegan was recently named one of the top 20 vegetarian restaurants in the US by Food & Wine, which noted the restaurant’s rightfully famous Dirty Burque vegan burger made with buckwheat and a variety of healthy vegetables. Equally good are the broccoli “cheese” soup with herbed biscuits and the poppable cauliflower nuggets, which the kids will love. Green Seed Vegan also offers a slate of fresh-squeezed juices and even bakes its own vegan desserts.
