Description
With an inviting concept, expansive menu, adroit cooking and a smart contemporary design, Liberty Kitchen provides a fine example for other casual dining restaurants in Houston. Seafood is the star, and it arrives in many guises—raw, cured, fried, steamed, grilled, in gumbo—and wearing many influences, Louisianan and Mexican, for sure, but also traditional Southern and even Hawaiian cooking. The oyster bar aspect is taken seriously here with the bivalves procured both from the Gulf and beyond. Liberty also offers many other options besides seafood, including burgers, salads, steaks, and the hefty and heftily priced ($18) “Big as Your Ass Breakfast” served all day.
