Located smack dab in the middle of the urban green space of Market Square Park, this outpost of Niko Niko’s offers a streamlined version of the menu at its popular older sibling in Montrose, with a nice selection of Greek sandwiches and salads. The seasoned lamb-beef gyro with onions, tomatoes, and tzatziki sauce is a great quick lunch—and so is the wing sauce-slathered Buffalo chicken pita sandwich. The outdoor seating might not be ideal in mid-summer, but you can always get your lunch to go. And unlike the original location, the downtown Niko Niko’s opens early and offers an extensive list of coffee and espresso drinks and some wild “Greekfast” items like a steak-and-egg pita and a gyro pita with fried egg and potatoes.
