There are a whole lot of tacos on Long Point, but most of the taquerías there seem to be serving the same stuff, which makes the menu at Taquería DF a welcome surprise. The portions are enormous—the Mexico City-style tortas are so big, you’ll regret ordering any sides. Try the chilaquiles verdes; quartered corn tortillas are fried, then smothered in tangy salsa verde and topped with your choice of meat and cheese. Condiments include a fiery DF salsa and roasted chiles. If you’ve never liked tripe tacos, try the perfectly fried version here—there’s just the right amount of salty crunch in every bite.
