Houstonia couldn't have been more proud to be the exclusive media sponsor of the 5th annual Runway Houston on April 7. Taking place at a new location, over 400 came out to the Citadel on Kirby to support show founder, Omar Marcos Mejia. Presenting sponsor Momentum Jaguar Southwest Houston and event host Hunter Bell brought excitement to the stage and played a hand in raising over $24,000 for benefiting charities, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and Houston Children Give Back.

Featured runway designers included Candice Cuoco from House of Cuoco, Aries Milan from Kate Kills Pretty, Paola Contreras from Inclan, Nhi Nguyen from Nhi Nguyen and Joyce Echols from Joyce Echols shoes. For those that splurged on all-access premier seating (aka "Crawford" level) not only got to watch the show from the front row, but were also treated to a private dinner at Fleming's the evening prior with the featured designers. The ticket also included backstage access, free valet, early entrance and access to the VIP Lounge and a swag bag filled with goodies.

The combination of art and fashion were a focal point this year, with installations at the event from Fariba Abedin, Kelley Devine, Isrel Fonesca, Joubair Joubert and Taft McWhorter. After the event, the after party at Cle welcomed 200 of the guests from the show to celebrate the successful evening.

Save the date for Runway Houston's fall event on September 29th, 2016.
