Buffalo Bayou Brewring Co.'s homebase will be getting a major upgrade next year, and we aren’t just talking about the addition of air conditioning. The local brewery, known for beers like Sam’s Daily and 1836, plans to break ground on a modern 3-story, 28,000-sqaure-foot brewery in Sawyer Yards this winter, founder and CEO Rassul Zarinfar announced in a blog post.

Currently located in a wanting former boat warehouse in Rice Military, the brewery’s new digs will allow for 10 times the brewing capabilities, Zarinfar says. It will also feature new amenities like a full-service kitchen, an open-air rooftop patio, downtown views and A.C. Meanwhile, other things, like the visible brewing tanks and dog-friendly atmosphere, will remain the same.

Oh, and did we mention the doorway will be shaped as a giant buffalo head? Click through the slideshow above to see more.
