The weekend of October 26-27 was all about the ladies. Houstonia Magazine held our inaugural Woman Up! weekend sponsored by Sawyer Yards at Silver Street Studios.

Friday's program comprised of a Speaker Series featuring a lineup of fierce Houston females including keynote speaker and lead singer of The Suffers, Kam Franklin, as well as Stephanie Wittels Wachs, Davina Davidson, Vee Ramos, Khaliah Guillory, Lori Choi, Mandy Jeronimus, and Jenny Creech. Speaker sessions were sponsored and supported by The Menninger Clinic and Red & Black Books. Guests enjoyed lunch from Dish Society and afternoon refreshments from Kicpops, Just Made Juice, KIND Bars, High Brew Coffee and CForce Water.

The day closed with a cocktail hour featuring award-winning margaritas from Ambriza Social Mexican Kitchen. On Saturday, shoppers descended on Silver Street Studios for a day of spending with more than 70 woman owned or woman-centric boutiques, makers, artists, and vendors. Between shopping breaks, attendees snapped photos wearing bright yellow accessories and holding up clever signs in the photo booth sponsored by Bumble. Brunch bites were served by BCK Kitchen and Cocktail Adventures, Poitin and Fig & Olive, and Ambriza Social Mexican Kitchen was back with more margaritas! The entire weekend benefitted charity partner Girls Inc. of Greater Houston with raised funds exceeding $1,500.
