In the words of organizer, Khaliah Guillory, World Day Experience was epic, dope, magical, and unspeakable energy filled the room. Brave souls fought torrential rain and Houston traffic to be present for the first of many World Day Experiences. Presented by The Cynthia A. Guillory Foundation and KOG & Company and underwritten by Le Meridien Houston Downtown; World Day Experience's intention was to provide an evening of diverse dialogue, entertainment and courageous conversations as we celebrate unity in the city. Mission was accomplished! The giveaways were everything and included Tesla driving experiences for everyone, weekend getaway at Le Meridien Houston Downtown, Peli Peli gift cards, and more. “Can We Chat” and “I’m Glad You Asked” powered by Gail Glasser of the Anti-Defamation League and Tacie Jae of I’m Glad You Asked provided easy tools to move from awareness to conversation. Fort Bend Academy of Arts & Dance curated a display of art in the form of dance was beautiful and impactful. No surprise as the piece was choreographed by Houston’s Dancing with the Stars co-champion, Mayra Bullock, reminding us we are all light!
