On April 26, 2018 at the Westin Memorial City, The CarePartners’ annual major fundraiser, Sweet Charity, raised money for the organization’s core service of providing support, education and resources for caregivers and quality care for those living with memory loss and other challenges of aging. Deborah Duncan Emceed the evening with more than 200 guests in attendance. Over $30,000 in donations were the secured the night of the event after honorees, Doug Dawson and Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale challenged the guests to give in support of CarePartners’ mission and programs.  Generous donations made after the appeal combined with the evening’s silent auction, brought the total raised for the organization to over $217,000. In attendance were honorees, Jim McIngvale, Doug Dawson, and Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church’s Senior Pastor, Alf Halvorson and wife, Shari. Also honored were two deserving volunteers of the organization, Beverly Donaldson and Heidi Clark. The Board of Directors were represented by chairman, Josh Weber and his wife Amanda Weber; former chairman, Wright Moody with his wife, Nancy Moody; as well as T. Mitch and Sandy Little hosting the Marathon Oil table; David Jewell; James Garrett; Dr. Rick and Nicole Ngo; and Keith and Kelly Crane. Other attendees included former Board member Steve Mueller and his wife Anita Mueller; CarePartners President, Jenna Dhayer; Terry and Ann Radney; Tom Breaux and Danny Terrebonne; the Reverend Lillie Seals; Vic and Jimmie Lou Joyce; Reverend Rick Myers and his wife Gracie Myers.
