Why: Community leaders, philanthropists and supports came together to raise money for AIDS Foundation Houston, an organization that is focused on preventing new HIV infections, and providing housing and supportive services to those already living with HIV/AIDS.
More than 420 guests were touched by an emotional story from the luncheon's keynote speaker, Screen Actors Guild and Golden Globe award nominee Pam Grier, a staunch supporter of AIDS research and support in the United States.
Amount Raised: Over $150,000 to support the AIDS Foundation Houston's goal of "Getting to Zero"—Zero new infections. Zero AIDS-related Deaths. Zero Stigma.
