Swinging for the Cure
The Nancy Owens Memorial Foundation hosts its annual "Swing for the Cure" benefitting breast cancer research.
On May 1, the Nancy Owens Memorial Foundation held its annual 'Swing for the Cure" at Sweetwater Country Club. Twenty-five teams took to the green to raise $38,000 for breast cancer research and awareness.
The day began with a shotgun start to the 18 holes. Other activities included a putting contest, longest drive, closest to the pin, and even a chance to win a Ford F-150 with a hole in one. The tournament was followed by an awards ceremony dinner with door prizes, raffle items, and a moving speech.
