The 2017 "Festival Of The Future," also known as Day For Night, was held at Post HTX in downtown Houston this past weekend. The tagline for the festival is "where light and sound collide," which proved to be supremely accurate as visual artists made imaginative dreams come to life and four stages hosted a variety of musical acts. Headliners this year included Solange, Nine Inch Nails, Justice, Thom Yorke, St. Vincent, Tyler, The Creator, Kaytranada, and many more.

Most of the issues encountered at last year's edition were addressed and fixed, including adding more food vendors and restrooms for the large crowds. Rain did cut the set times short on the outside stages Saturday night, and, aside from a handful of artist cancellations on Friday, most of the entertainment went on as planned. The flow of the festival was definitely better this year, as the main outside stage was rearranged to face the downtown skyline, and the Yellow Stage was shifted from outdoors to an amazing indoor circular stage with sight lines on all sides. Post HTX was definitely the place to be over the moody weekend in Houston, and we are already excited about attending next year's event.-
