El Segundo Swim Club (Re) Opening

Last summer, we trumpeted the arrival of Houston's new swim bar; it shuttered days later. “Reopening El Segundo Swim Club this summer definitely took longer than expected due to a few construction and permitting challenges,” owner Matthew Healey said this week in a release. As a promotion, the joint will offer both special Labor Day hours and a shockingly well-priced beverage menu (White Claw included, naturally). Based on the press photos, the Instagram-friendly playground is beautiful and enclosed enough that you just might forget that you're lounging next to an asphalt plant.

Waugh Bat Colony Boat Tour
