Description

This sunny little bungalow offering tasty cheese boards and an obligatory, affordable house rosé does, in fact, seem light years ahead of the stuffy old wine bars of yore. That’s thanks in part to proprietors Steve Buechner and John Glanzman, whose selection of trendy natural and biodynamic wines made by smaller, mindful producers from vineyards the world over—Texas’s own stellar Southhold Farm + Cellar’s wines are a must-try—bucks snootiness in favor of fun. The young, friendly staff actually listen to what you’re looking for without judgment, even if it’s “something weird and fizzy and beachy,” and they usually offer samples. The place doubles as a wine shop, too.
